Serein Kitchen Remodel

Lakeville, MN  |  2024

If we could describe this project in one phrase, it would have to be 'a breath of fresh air.’

The original kitchen in this rambler was cramped and inefficient, with minimal counter space and no upper cabinetry. Meanwhile, the attached three-season addition felt disconnected from the home, offering limited usability.

Our homeowner envisioned a true refresh—one that would enhance functionality and complement her vibrant personality, lifestyle, and collection of vintage mid-century furniture.

Converting the three-season space into a four-season room—upgrading windows, doors, and adding heat—allowed us to remove the dividing wall, seamlessly integrating the addition with the kitchen and filling the space with natural light. The stove, once awkwardly positioned on a peninsula, now sits neatly along the wall, surrounded by cabinetry in Sherwin Williams Green Onyx against crisp white walls, a mosaic backsplash and quartz countertops.

Nearby, the addition is now home to an Eden of plants, basking in the abundant sunshine.  Throughout, new flooring and fresh complete the refresh, ensuring joy and light are never in short supply.
